Community Events
We support community members directly through a variety of outreach and meal distribution events. Your support of the Reno Gastro Project allows us to purchase meals from local restaurants that are then provided to people facing food insecurity in our community.

liday Dinners for Local Families
December 2021 - Reno Gastro Project connected with 8 families through the Reno/Sparks Mutual Aid Facebook Group. Family dinners were purchased from Casale’s Halfway Club, and meals including their homemade ravioli, lasagna, salad, and garlic bread, fed 41 adults and children on Christmas Day.
Senior and Family Outreach
Since 2021, Reno Gastro Project has partnered with Altrusa of Reno/Sparks to support low income seniors and families through outreach events hosted at their living facilities. During these events, community members are provided a variety of hygiene and daily life necessities along with a hot meal from a local restaurant provided by Reno Gastro Project supporters. To date, we’ve partnered on 6 events and distributed over 300 meals.
